Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian from Canada, actress, and writer. O'Hara has won several distinctions, including a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her name as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the principal casting for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy on the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984). She received the attention of critics both for her writing abilities and acting and was honored with the Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara joined the Second City artistic advisory board in 2022. She was joined by Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert and Tina Fey.
